About Alli and Cielo Hills Ranch….

I am a non pro and have been showing reiners for approximately 10 years. I started with a trainer at a mostly hunter/jumper facility with just one horse and then gained couple more. I quickly fell in love with it and wanted to intensely do anything and everything I could think of to get better at it, and gain much-needed experience in the show pen.

Before long, I moved to an area where I could purchase a property, I had a keen interest in breeding, so purchasing a property made sense to me. I finally found the perfect place and opened business with an up and coming and very talented trainer. We proceeded to gain momentum here at the barn and had a lot of fun and success attending local shows, and some larger shows as well. He built up his career and I built up my experience and skills, I eventually bought Rickybacinhollywood and enjoyed the taste of success for the first time in the show pen! These were joys I will never forget!

Blessed with talented and dedicated people in my life that shared my breeding interests, we decided to direct more energy into my personal breeding program, and not just implementing the breeding programs for others at my property. This was, after all, the main catalyst for starting this whole new adventure in my life.

We have spent the last few months building up some breeding stock and preparing the property, and I am very excited about what is to come, along with the others who are helping me and riding along this dream with me. I can’t thank them enough!

I intend to continue showing as well, hoping to create a partnership like I had with Ricky, although horses like that don’t come along very often! (I still have him in my barn and he is stilll showing some, he’s doing great!) I’m continue to try to build my skills, but it’s been a very humbling couple of years.

I have also built up an interest in the physical health of the horse. I am fascinated by the high level of athleticism these animals give to us, and I have implemented several tools here at the ranch, to support these physical needs. The horses here receive therapeutic treatments regularly, and I feel this has benefited all of us!

Meleah Green has continued here at the ranch, after years of assisting, and is endlessly dedicated to continuing her career as a reining trainer. She has already accomplished some impressive goals and I feel grateful to have her as part of the ranch family.
